Our partnership with the Mount Pleasant Regional Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe won a statewide marketing award.
The Michigan Tourism Industry Federation named MPACVB the recipient of the 2024 Innovative Tourism Collaboration Governor's Award in the marketing category at the Pure Michigan Governor's Tourism Conference in Kalamazoo earlier this week.
This award recognizes MPACVB's partnership with Soaring Eagle Casino on the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe's Summer Outdoor Concert Series. Since 2022, the two have been offering “Mt. Fun Experience Package.”
Each outdoor concert at the casino will feature a Meet Mount Pleasant-branded tent, QR codes on banners around the venue and on screens between performers, and an email inviting ticket holders to sign up. were sent and MPACVB representatives handed out cards to people. Register for the package.
Last year, QR codes and Meet Mt. Pleasant logos were added to Soaring Eagle hotel rooms to encourage visitors to take the time to move west of the casino and explore the city.
“We are very proud of this partnership,” said Chris Rowley, MPACVB Executive Director. “Following this success, MPACVB, Tribe and Soaring Eagle Casino will continue his 2024 season, working together to showcase all the community has to offer and encourage repeat visits.”
MPACVB, the destination marketing and management organization for Mount Pleasant and Isabella County, also operates the Mount Pleasant Sports and Entertainment Commission and helps manage the community brand “Meet Here.”
Tribal-owned and operated Soaring Eagle features a resort, full-service spa and salon, more than 70,000 square feet of meeting space with more than 2,800 slot machines and 70 table games, and seven restaurants. I am. It hosts more than 45 performances each year by nationally known artists.
