Classroom Assistants work with students in classroom and laboratory settings to complete multimedia communication projects. Assist students with audio-video content creation projects such as recording and editing podcasts, setting up video cameras and lighting equipment, and basic video editing. We will demonstrate audio video equipment such as cameras, microphones, and lighting.
Responsibilities and essential functions:
- Demonstrate to students how to use studio equipment.
- Assist with course assignments and workflow.
- Record and edit a podcast with your student team.
- Record and edit short-form videos with your students.
- We support teachers by providing demonstration lessons and practical knowledge. Students and girlfriends work one-on-one on projects and assignments.

Requirements:
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 3+ years of relevant business experience.
Preferred qualifications:
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Working knowledge of Adobe CC, MS Office, Google Suite, Canva, iMovie.
- Working knowledge of marketing communications and media production tools as they relate to current industry standards. This includes alternative ways to inform and entertain through written, oral, and visual media.
- Set up, maintain, and demonstrate equipment and workflows to students in an audio/video studio environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with student production teams and assist in achieving essential learning objectives established during the learning process.
- Organize and schedule lab appointments outside of class hours.

Salary Range: $48.13 – $51.58 per hour
The UCE-FIT Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) governs compensation, benefits, and terms and conditions of employment. Employment rate: $48.13 to $51.58 per hour. Increment by salary schedule 85 after 18 months of service and annually thereafter.
