Jim Viscardi moves to Image Comics, publisher backing him the walking dead Hired Viscardi as vice president of business development.
Mr. Biscardi is best known in the comics industry as the co-founder of comibook.com, which was founded in 2015 and sold to CBS Interactive three years later. He oversaw the entire editorial strategy among other duties at the site as it rose to prominence. At Image, the publisher and chief creative officer will report to Eric Stephenson.

Joining this team will help us foster creative independence, while providing direct market and other I'm excited about the opportunity to contribute to Image's tradition of driving strategic business growth that supports partners in the industry,” said Mr. Viscardi. “Together, we will continue to push boundaries, inspire innovation, and amplify the voices of creators around the world.”
Viscardi previously worked at Marvel Entertainment, where he worked on the company's marketing, communications and retailer relations, including during major events like 2012. avengers vs x-men The event and the introduction of Miles Morales as Spider-Man in 2011.

Image was launched in 1992 when seven of Marvel's top artists left to start their own companies. The idea was that comic book creators would be able to retain ownership of the characters they created. Over the decades since then, it has become known by titles such as: spawn, invincible and Saga.
