Note: This article will focus on players currently in the minor leagues. The “Top of the Crop” part was determined before the Dylan Cies trade, which is why Drew Thorpe, Samuel Zavala, and Jairo Iriarte are all omitted.
Trends on the farm: colson montgomery
Top prospect Colson Montgomery, 22, made his AAA debut with the Charlotte Knights last weekend in the weekend series opener against the Memphis Redbirds. Montgomery recorded two singles, one walk, one RBI, and four strikeouts in his first AAA baseball experience. Jackson Holiday and the Norfolk Tides are scheduled to play the Knights in the first full game of the 2024 season.
