St. Lawrence Health (SLH) President Donna McGregor was recently recognized by Becker's Health Review as one of the “110 Local Hospital and Health System CEOs You Should Know in 2024” and “Female Hospital Presidents You Should Know in 2024.” and 196 CEOs. Presidents and CEOs on the list are recognized for growing their organizations, fostering positive workforce cultures, expanding services and facilities, and improving provider and patient satisfaction. This national recognition highlights the care provided by St. Lawrence Health healthcare providers and team members.

Under her leadership, over the past two years, St. Lawrence Health has expanded its integration into Rochester Regional Health, including implementing an integrated electronic health record system that gives patients and providers quick and accurate access to medical records. Achieved important milestones, including success. In addition, her acquisition of Seaway Valley Ambulance Services to St. Lawrence Health was completed, completing an investment in Massena Hospital's future success through the upcoming opening of a new wound care center. A big win for patients is the start of construction on the Canton Potsdam Hospital St. Lawrence Health Regional Care Pavilion, scheduled for completion in 2024.

Ms. McGregor will now work to advance the St. Lawrence region's rural health strategy. She said $45 million was raised to fund the Rural Health Strategy, which focuses on expanding patient transportation, maternal and child health, behavioral health supports, primary care, and workforce development. Leveraging the relationship between St. Lawrence Health and Rochester Regional Health through expanded telehealth services, new specialists, and access to world-class cardiology programs through full integration with her Sands-Constellation Heart Institute in Rochester. Progress is already being made.

As president of St. Lawrence Health, Mr. McGregor oversees Canton Potsdam Hospital, Gouverneur Hospital, Massena Hospital and all related facilities. She was appointed president in 2022 and previously served as chief financial officer since 2020.
