UTA has announced Eric Iverson as chief technology officer, who will lead the company's information technology strategy. He joins the company as artificial intelligence and other technological developments pose a disruptive threat to the industry.
Most recently, Iverson served as Director of Product Strategy for Amazon MGM Studios, where he led product, user experience, and AI efforts, and previously served as Chief Technologist for Media and Entertainment for Amazon Web Services (AWS). Ta. During his time at Amazon, he helped oversee an ambitious effort to build Amazon's next-generation studio that leverages a completely cloud-based infrastructure.
Prior to joining Amazon, Iverson served as CTO and CIO of CAA from 2016 to 2020. Prior to that, he worked at Sony Pictures Entertainment for more than 17 years and held multiple technology leadership roles before moving to Sony Pictures Television where he was promoted to CTO and four global TV executives. He oversaw the technology unit and the company's intellectual property program.
Iverson will be based at UTA's Beverly Hills headquarters and will report to CEO Jeremy Zimmer. Iverson is responsible for managing the IT organization that supports the company's talent replication, content creation, strategic advisory and marketing consulting businesses.
