The city's community health supervisor said they will review everything that has been said to pinpoint specific needs. Once they find a target area, such as transportation, they work with experts to find solutions.
“And when we find an asset, people say, 'This is really great in Appleton.' We're going to continue to put money, time and effort into this,” said Brianna Mechri, District Health Supervisor. she said.
The city wants more people to participate in this effort, and the survey is available in the top six languages spoken in the Appleton Area School District, removing barriers and making it accessible to everyone. You can make your voice heard.
This survey will take 10-15 minutes to complete. You can do this online or in person at City Hall or the public library.
Mekuly cautions not to expect immediate changes based on this research.
“Did you know that once you plant a seed, all you have to do is keep watering it? So now we're saying, “Here's the survey,'' and asking everyone to take part in the survey. It is being sown. I know it will grow, but it will take time,” she said.
The survey ends on April 30th.
