Amid the Holi festival, a video of an unconventional dish called 'Gulab Jamun Chaat' has been released on the internet. This fusion of savory and sweet caused an uproar on social media, leaving gourmets confused and disgusted.
The video starts with four tempting gulab jamuns on a plate. But things get mouth-watering when there is a thick layer of curd on top followed by a sweet and green chutney on top. It is further topped with pomegranate and nylon sev and resembles dahi badas.
Sharing the video on X, the user wrote: I am fasting warna me kha leta (I am fasting, otherwise I would have tried this). ”

As soon as this video was published, social media users could not keep calm and reacted strongly to this dish. Reacting to this, one user wrote, “Marna hai, trazaher dedu!” Isko mujhse dur rakho (If you want to die, ingest poison, but keep this away from me). Another user said, “It doesn't taste bad without the chashni. Or skip the meethi chutney and just have kati and teeki chutney. Not bad, at all.”
A third user joked: “He should go to jail for PPFV before anyone else does,” while another user responded: “Who committed this?” .
Earlier this month, a video of a cheesy gulab jamun pizza went viral. The video showed the restaurant's chef preparing the pizza dough by dousing it with sweet syrup and then placing generous amounts of gulab jamun and cheese on top of the dough. After baking the base, place 6 whole gulab jamuns on top.
