TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) – UrgentVet, a pet-only urgent care clinic originating from Tampa, has announced the opening of its first location in Tucson.
UrgentVet-Tucson, located at 107 N Pantano Road, is scheduled to open March 28, offering pet parents in the Tucson area a new option for after-hours pet care.
The clinic will provide relief for minor illnesses and injuries on nights, weekends and holidays, and claims to be more affordable than traditional emergency pet hospitals.
The clinic offers same-day treatment for symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, lameness, itching, cough, loss of appetite, minor wounds, and back pain.
Dr. Jim Dobies, DVM and founder of UrgentVet, expressed his excitement about this expansion, saying,
“We recognize that a significant number of households in the Tucson area have at least one pet and there is a demand for accessible care, especially during unusual times.”
UrgentVet-Tucson will be the 68th clinic in the national network and the fourth clinic in Arizona.
The clinic says its location features examination rooms tailored to the animal's species and size, non-slip floors, dimmable lighting, calming colors, soothing music, calming pheromones, and a quiet exam lift table. It is designed to provide a calming experience for both pets and pet parents. .
To make your pet more comfortable, the clinic also utilizes Casco's tempered glass pet enclosures, which are designed to be 70% quieter than metal cages.
