JACKSON, MI — The Jackson County Animal Shelter, located at 3770 Spring Arbor Road, has many pets available for adoption.
Here we will introduce two of them.
Jet is a 4-year-old Labrador Retriever mix who came to us as a stray. Jett's most striking feature is his beautiful light blue eyes.
He is a cheerful child full of energy. He wants to play and walk with you. Jet loves children and he gets excited when he sees them and gives them lots of licks and kisses.
Pasta is a 2-year-old tabby cat who came to us as a pregnant stray cat. Mr. Pasta gave birth to a kitten, which is now grown.
She is a very calm and kind girl. She Pasta loves attention and she cuddles when she is petted. She currently gets along well with the other cats in her care.
An online application is required to adopt a dog. Meeting the dog is also a must. You can use a cat room walkthrough to test your reactions. Dog adoption fees are $150 for medium and large dogs and $250 for puppies and small dogs, and include vaccinations, microchip and neutering.
Cat adoption fees are $60 for one cat or $80 for two cats and include applicable exams, vaccinations, and spay/neuter.
