PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A search warrant executed at a home in Goble uncovered 18 frozen puppies that were allegedly used as food for the resident's pet snake, according to the Columbia County Sheriff's Office (CCSO). It was done.
CCSO agents executed a search warrant Friday morning after county animal control received information that a resident was freezing puppies for this purpose, authorities said.
CCSO recovered and impounded the puppy, which was taken to the Oregon Humane Society to investigate the cause of death, officials said.
Several snakes were found in the home, and one snake was seized by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, authorities said.
A CCSO spokesperson told KOIN 6 News that the investigation is still ongoing and they are currently working with the Columbia County District Attorney's Office to charge those involved.
