A quick search for the makeup tutorial hashtag on Instagram will reveal over 53 million results for you to browse. Not a day goes by without a new makeup trend popping up on social media platforms. One day it's nude eyes with dark lips and the next day it's the other way around. There are days when Korean beauty techniques take center stage, and other days when Italian women's makeup shines. Amid such never-ending trends, some saviors also suggest hacks to perfect these styles. However, not all videos are successful and end up on the reject list. That's exactly what happened with the latest mehndi makeup hack.
The video, posted on Instagram, begins with a woman applying mehendi (henna) to her eyelids. She continues to apply it on her eyebrows and lips. She's even added small spots to each of her cheeks, presumably to give it a freckled look.
After it dries, she uses a cloth to remove the mehndi. Instead of getting the semi-permanent makeup look she wanted, she looked like someone had unleashed a child on a mehendi cone and said, “Good luck!”
Of course, there were complaints on the internet as well. The video has been viewed over 1 million times on social media platforms. The comments section was a big hit, with each new comment getting louder and louder.
A user wrote, “Iss se acha toh make-up hi naa karti” (No makeup at all was the best).
Another user said, “Abhi bhi time hai behen, karde delete” (Sister, there's still time, please delete this).
Yet another user remarked, “Ye toh mujhse bhi zyada delulu hai” (She's much more delusional than me).
“Hatho par kya lagana hai? Blush?” (So what should I apply on my hands? Blush?), said another user.
Makeup is meant to enhance your natural charm and not completely change your appearance. A video that went viral earlier on the internet showed a child confused about who her mother was after her mother dressed her up for an event. The mother is seen making great efforts to convince her child that she is actually her mother. The mother continued to laugh and she repeated, “Mein hai mama hu” (I am your mother), but the child refused to accept it and tried to run away from her mother.
