CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — A longtime Franklin County flower business recently announced that it will soon be closing its doors after 110 years in business.
Family-owned and operated Plasterer's Florist and Greenhouse has been serving the Chambersburg area since 1914. Recently, the family announced that they had officially sold their property. 990 Lincoln Way Eastthe business will be auctioned in the second half of April 2024.
“We sell everything, floor to ceiling, displays, fixtures, everything,” owner Greg Plasterer said in a release.
Upcoming auctions include items such as:

- myers snowplow
- 2002 Ford Econoline Van
- Ford minivan etc.
The greenhouse portion of the property was sold to Grace Gardens several years ago, but the flower shop continued to operate in front of the main building in Chambersburg. Current owners Greg and Patti Plasterer have continued to run the business since Greg's father, Herbert, passed away in 2016.
Now, Greg and Patti are ready to close up shop and retire.
“The community has been really good to us over the years,” Mr. Plaster added. “We’ve had so many great comments from people and we really appreciate them.”
The public sale will be held on Saturday, April 20th at 9:30 a.m. at the Plasterer's Florist and Conservatory location, according to Gateway Gallery Auctions. 990 Lincoln Way East.
