The Idaho Immunization Coalition will hold its third annual community health fair to promote health and wellness this Saturday in Caldwell.
The event, “Communities United by Health,” will include free vaccinations for all ages. The free vaccine is available to youth under 18 with and without insurance, and to uninsured adults 19 and older.
Other services available include health screenings such as blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar levels, and vision. Mobile mammography machines are also available for testing.
Date and time: Saturday, March 23rd, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Location: O'Connor Field House, 2207 Blaine St., Caldwell
The fair will feature 95 booths and vendors offering mental health resources, housing assistance, financial wellness resources, free haircuts, fluoride treatments for kids, and more. A limited number of free food boxes will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. The Idaho Immunization Coalition plans to provide individuals with a gift card for each eligible vaccine they receive, while supplies last.
In addition to providing free health services, the event will include entertainment such as a bounce house, cultural performances by local dance groups, STEM activities, and face painting.
Heather Gagliano, the coalition's director of operations and education, said the health fair is a great way to support Idahoans.
“We always strive to make this day a fun afternoon filled with activities that everyone can enjoy, and a one-stop shop to help families meet their daily health needs,” Gagliano said in a press release. I'm trying hard.”
