NYC Health + Hospitals launches “Nurses4NYC” recruitment campaign
New nurses have access to nursing training programs, nursing fellowships, tuition reimbursement, loan forgiveness, and scholarship programs.

NYC Health + Hospitals today announced a major recruiting campaign to expand access to community-based primary care by filling nurse positions at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem, Woodhull and Lincoln. The hiring campaign “Nurses4NYC” aims to get more New Yorkers to apply for nurse jobs in the health system. This campaign will be supported by social media advertising. Interested applicants should visit the Nurses4NYC website to learn more and apply here. Currently, the NYC Health + Hospital system has over 9,600 full-time and part-time nurses. The public medical system provides various welfare benefits including pensions. New nurses have access to nurse residency programs, nursing fellowships, tuition reimbursement, loan forgiveness, and scholarship programs through NYC Health + Hospitals.

The one-year training program provides newly hired entry-level nurses with on-the-job training focused on topics such as ethics, decision-making, clinical leadership, and incorporating research-based evidence into practice. This 22-week emergency department nursing fellowship program is designed for nurses with no clinical experience in an emergency department. The Emergency Department Nursing Fellowship Program builds on fundamental nursing skills to further enhance fellows' knowledge and skills to provide safe patient care in the fast-paced emergency department.

For successful applicants, NURSE Corps will pay 60 percent of their outstanding nursing education debt over two years, with an option to extend into a third year for an additional 25 percent of the original balance. In exchange, applicants commit to working for two years at targeted facilities with severe nursing shortages.
National Health Service Corporation (for nurses)
