Current global CMO Brady Brewer has been promoted to CEO of Starbucks' international operations.
Starbucks is stepping down as global chief marketing officer to promote current chief marketing officer Brady Brewer to CEO of international operations.
Instead of replacing the top marketing position, Starbucks is appointing regional CEOs who will be supported by “regional marketing support.”
It's part of what the company calls its “two-pump, triple-shot reinvention plan” to grow around the world, with three of its next four locations expected to be outside the United States.
Starbucks is the latest brand to eliminate the CMO role. Etsy, like UPS and Walgreens, got rid of its products late last year.

Starbucks is also hiring Line Castingeye to the new role of Vice President, Chief Merchant and Head of Product.
