Dosa, a South Indian dish, has become a staple in households around the world for its crunchy texture and variety. As many as 75 of his chefs in Bangalore took their love for dosa to another level by setting a Guinness World Record for the world's longest dosa on March 15.
MTR Foods collaborated with Chef Regi Mathieu and his team to celebrate its 100th anniversary with a “monumental” achievement.
According to the report, the world's longest dosa-making process involved food experts and culinary school staff, and it took 110 failures to succeed. While sharing a video of making a 123.03ft dosa on Instagram, Chef Matthew wrote, Proudly celebrating 100 years with the Guinness World Record title for longest dosa at an astonishing 123.03 feet! ”
“This monumental achievement was realized on March 15, 2024 at the MTR factory in Bangalore. @lormangroupofcompany, students of MS Ramaiah College of Hotel Management and everyone who contributed to this monumental occasion Thank you for a century of tradition, flavor, and record-breaking here!'' he added.

The video received more than 23,000 views on the platform, and social media users also responded to it. One user congratulated the chef and wrote, “Amazing, congratulations to Chef Cashier and team, another feature on the cap. Keep it up. Dosa might be a better choice.”
A third user wrote: “Awesome.”
Earlier, a team of chefs from Ahmedabad set a Guinness World Record by making a 53 feet long dosa in 15 minutes.
