Dear Reader: Perhaps some geologists, climatologists, and other environmental scientists can explain why so many catastrophic weather events occur around the world. I theorize that the increase in ocean volume and the corresponding increase in pressure on deep-sea tectonic plates is accelerating the speed and intensity of tectonic plate movement and collision. As a result, volcanic activity increases both in the deep sea and on land. (See ocean.si.edu/planet-ocean/seafloor/how-ocean-floor-helped-seal-deal-plate-tectonics for more information.)
Polar ice and glacial ice are melting, increasing the volume of the oceans, while greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide are causing ocean temperatures to rise and become more acidic. The latter, along with nitrous oxide, methane (from oil and gas wells) and melting permafrost, are warming the planet. Warmer oceans provide energy for tornadoes and typhoons.
In a 2020 interview, Rob Jackson, a professor of geosciences at Stanford University, said, “Nitrous oxide is also the biggest man-made threat to the ozone layer, which protects the planet from harmful ultraviolet radiation. (Nitrous oxide) emissions… is increasing fastest in emerging countries.” An economy where both crop production and livestock numbers are increasing. In Brazil, for example, nitrogen fertilizer use has soared by half since 2005. …In the United States, as in China and India, emissions from synthetic fertilizers play a larger role. ” (To read the full interview, visit news.stanford.edu/2020/10/07/loling-gas-growing-climate-problem.)
Deforestation and large-scale forest fires are reducing the contribution of plants to carbon sequestration and carbon reduction to the health of the planet. There is also growing concern about an ocean current system called the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation, a “conveyor belt” of ocean currents. AMOC moves varying levels of warm water and salts around the Earth, regulating Earth's temperature, absorbing carbon dioxide, and fueling the water cycle. There are concerns that this vital system could soon collapse, leaving large parts of Europe in deep freeze. Disturbances in the seasonal pattern of the jet stream can also cause more frequent and extreme weather events.
I also believe that some of the extreme weather we are seeing is caused by geoengineering. I've been skeptical about this for years, but I recently watched a compelling documentary on the subject. It's called “The Dimming” and can be viewed at youtube.com/watch?v=rf78rEAJvhY. The film includes interviews with scientists, wildlife officials, and other experts and presents data on “weather warfare,” secret biological weapons, microwave transmission, aluminum nanoparticles, and more. Masu.
The complexity of the climate crisis is considerable, and some of the effects of anthropogenic global warming are irreversible. The best thing we can do is strive to reduce our carbon footprint by how we live and what we consume, and fulfill his global CPR: conserving, protecting and restoring nature. to support all those involved.
Fermented protein contained in pet food that is friendly to the human body and the environment
From vegan business magazine Vegconomist:
“Bond Petfoods, a Colorado-based fermented protein manufacturer, has reached an important milestone in its partnership with Hill’s Pet Nutrition, a global pet food manufacturer. has officially shipped the first two tonnes of the product, allowing Hills to begin formulating prototypes for regulatory review and market evaluation.
“Bond Pet Foods' proprietary protein ingredients are created specifically for pet food applications using a process similar to beer brewing. Fermented proteins mirror the nutritional profile of traditional meat. But there are no environmental drawbacks. The cooperation between the two companies originally began.'' In the second half of 2021, they plan to develop a replacement for the most used meat protein in leeches. ”
Bond Pet Foods said in its news release: We have established the basis for pet food recipes with significantly reduced resource and carbon intensity and without harming other animals. ”
Precision fermentation is sustainable and proven. Many companies have been using it for decades. The technology is progressing faster than cultured meat (growing meat from cells). Most notably, animal protein is a cruelty-free method of creating animal protein.
Dear Dr. FOX: Your recent column on the effects of chewing on memory function in dogs was interesting. Because the same thing has been observed in humans: psychologistworld.com/memory/chewing-gum. — BCS, Nassau, Bahamas
Dear BCS: Thank you for this reference. It turns out that we are more like dogs than different from them. I like chewing gum. Chewing gum seems to improve your concentration and keep your gums healthy.
