On Wednesday, March 27, Berkeley Lab's dance program will present “#Trending,” a student-choreographed dance showcase inspired by the impact of social media on daily life.
A spokesperson said, “Social media is an essential part of our daily lives, and even more so for young people. This is the inspiration behind '#Trending',” presented by Berkeley Lab's Dance Program . The program will be held in Berkeley Lab's Cafetorium on Wednesday, March 27, from 6 p.m.
“This Student Choreography Dance Showcase features student choreography by dancers enrolled in dance classes at Berkeley Institute. Student choreographers spend time outside of class auditioning fellow dancers. Dance instructor Nikia Manders has guided student choreographers to present their work as part of dance production classes and performance grades.
“Students created their projects by drawing inspiration from popular memes and trends on various social media platforms.
“Tickets for #Trending can be purchased for $10 at the Berkeley Lab School Office.”
