this week's newsweek This week's pet is Franklin, a cat who went from wandering around town to sitting at a table with his owner.
Andrea and Alice live in New York, but one day they find Franklin wandering around and decide to adopt him.
“We found him wandering along the median on Franklin Street in Brooklyn and immediately brought him home to live with two other cats,” Andrea said. newsweek.
Also known as the “spaghetti cat” due to its long body, this cat is very intelligent and always stays close to its owner.
As they sit down to eat, Franklin also wants to join in. “He loves to sit with us during meals and drink water from his own glass,” Andrea explained, sharing a video of her cat drinking water from her own glass at the table.

This week's first finalist is Scarlett, a small Shih Tzu. Her owner says she has a “heart of gold.”
Scarlett, who lives with her owner Michelle Smith, was born with a deformed spine.
“She didn't let it slow her down,” Smith said. newsweek.
Smith started her own Instagram page and hopes to share Scarlett's story on social media and become an advocate for rescue and special needs pets.
On Instagram, under the handle @scarlettsfaith, she shares everything from her jazzy outfits to her neighborhood adventures.
Next up this week is Archie, a brown tabby who lives with his owner, Tracy Scalia.
”[We] “I've been raising them since they were six weeks old,” Scalia said. newsweek. “He's the most hilarious camera-loving poser ever.”
When Archie isn't taking pictures, he likes to play with his iPad and hang out with his orange tabby friends.
Last up this week is Bodi, a black Labrador who lives in North Carolina with her owner Janie Neely.
Adopted from a nearby humane society, Bodie loves toys and plays with them a lot.
what is his favorite thing? Go on an adventure. “In the car, on walks, going to day care, going to Lowe's for petting and treats,” Neely explained.
