Senior Victoria Gorlova She placed first in the long jump and second in the triple jump at the Indoor Conference Championships, earning her third ACC Women's Field MVP title and Tech's first ACC Women's Long Jump title. Gorlova finished fourth at the NCAA Championships with a triple of 44 feet, 9.5 inches (13.65 meters), breaking her own school record.
lindsay butler At the NCAA Championships, she placed seventh in the 800 meters with a season-best time of 2:02.39, earning All-American First Team honors. Butler won the 800m indoor conference championship for the third time in her career with a time of 2:03.86.
Cianelli also Sarah Killinen Killinen won his first conference title with a weight throw of 72'11.25″ (22.23 m) and finished eighth at the NCAA Championships with a throw of 70'7.75″ (21.53 m). The women's team tied for 26th place at the NCAA Championships with eight points.
Thursday's recognition by the USTFCCCA marks the 19th regional award for Cianelli, who previously served as director of track and field and cross country at Virginia Tech.
