Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu has come under fire after a video that allegedly spread “misinformation” and “misleads” people about liver “detox” went viral on social media. X user Cryac Abby Phillips accused the actor of inviting “random” healthy and “illiterate” people onto his podcast.
A user shared a clip from a recently uploaded podcast. There, guests can be heard discussing the importance of herbs like dandelion in promoting liver health. Sharing the clip, a user wrote, “This is movie star Samantha Ruth Prabhu, misleading and misinforming her 33 million+ followers about 'liver detoxification'.”
The user called the guests “illiterate” and said, “Podcasts feature random health illiterate 'wellness coaches and performance nutritionists' who have no understanding of how the human body works and who are the ones on Instagram.” The handle contains the most ridiculous content, including complete nonsense. Herbs for managing autoimmune diseases and more. ”
“I'm a liver doctor, a trained and registered liver specialist who has been diagnosing and treating liver disease patients for 10 years, but this is complete BS,” the user claimed.
Explaining more about dandelions and their uses, a user wrote: “Dandelion is a vegetable that most people think of as a weed. Sometimes it is used as a salad green. Dandelion can be used in salads. About 100 g of dandelion provides a lot of energy with little or no calorie intake. It provides about 10-15% of your daily potassium needs.”
