As reported yesterday, the update has somehow started in the game's debug mode, allowing players to see the villain's entire arc, which was referenced in a previously leaked Insomniac Games presentation. What we know about Spider-Man 2's upcoming DLC
If you haven't played Spider-Man 2 yet, or don't want to spoil the surprise element, you should X-out now.
Reddit user Rodviguez decided not to heed Insomniac's warning against accessing Spider-Man 2's debug mode and found a menu for “Beetle Villain Arc” containing the following section:
- Beatle Janis intro
- beetle reveal
- beetle construction
- beetle ambush
- beetle battlefield
- beetle bridge
- beet convoy
- beetle hostage
- beetle boss
An internal Insomniac presentation leaked as part of a ransomware attack last December labeled this content “Beetle Infestation.” The DLC will include open world missions and boss battles.
We don't know if Insomniac plans to release this DLC, as things often change during development. However, considering this menu was found in Spider-Man 2's latest update, there's reason to believe the developers are actively working on it.
