The Potter County Craftsman Cooperative is planning events and classes in March.
The spring watercolor class for ages 16 and up will be taught by artist Laurie Anggood on Friday, March 8th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. You can choose subjects such as a robin's nest, tulips, or pussy willow. Select one or paint all three. All materials are provided including artist quality paints and paper. Participants will receive a take-home gift bag containing watercolor paper and a watercolor palette. Class cost is $35. Call Artisan Co-op to register at 814-274-8165.
Needler's Night, hosted by cross-stitch artist Julia Overton-Healy, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on the first and third Wednesday of each month starting March 6. Any craftsman or hobbyist who uses needles can participate. Crocheting, knitting, tatting, cross stitch, embroidery, etc. Donations are accepted but not required. Please bring drinks and snacks.
Join Lenny White again this month to paint and build a 35-inch wooden Easter gnome on Saturday, March 9th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Class cost is $45. All materials provided.
The monthly Young Artisan class with Laurie Anggood and Danica DeCarlo will be held on Thursday, March 14th from 3-4:30 p.m. Students will create a “Mini Tin Wonder Box'' to take home. Suitable for 2nd grade through her 6th grade. Supplies and snacks will be provided. Class cost is $25.
Basket weaver Kathy Snyder will teach students how to make egg/Easter baskets on Saturday, March 16th from 1pm to 4pm. Her class costs $42. Please bring snacks and drinks.
Gourd artist Danette Wightman will teach students how to make Easter egg gourds on Saturday, March 16 from 1 to 4 p.m. All materials are provided. The cost for this class is $20.
