The average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline in the Killeen-Temple-Fort-Cavazos area is up slightly from a week ago, according to AAA.
The average price in the area Saturday was $2.85, 2 cents higher than last week's average and 3 cents lower than this time last year, according to AAA.

In Killeen on Saturday, Gasbuddy.com users reported regular gasoline being sold for $2.51 per gallon at multiple locations, including the HEB at 1101 W. Stan Schlueter Loop. According to a GasBuddy.com user, the Walmart at 3807 E. Stan Schlueter Loop had the lowest price point in Killeen, where he was reportedly selling diesel for $3.53 per gallon.
In Harker Heights, gas was reportedly being sold for $2.51 per gallon at Murphy USA at 2010-A Heights Drive, according to GasBuddy.com users. The lowest price for diesel in Harker Heights was reportedly $3.53 at Murphy USA, also on Heights Drive. Sam's Club members were selling regular unleaded gasoline for $2.51. Sam's Club was selling diesel for $3.49 a gallon on Saturday, according to the club's website.
GasBuddy.com reports that in Copperas Cove, the cheapest regular gasoline is sold for $2.68 per gallon at Murphy USA, 2712 E. Business Highway 190. According to a GasBuddy.com user, the diesel was also reportedly being sold at Murphy USA for $3.52.
The cheapest gasoline in Fort Cavazos was on sale Saturday at Valero & AAFES, which includes 48830 Clear Creek Road, for $2.79 a gallon, according to GasBuddy.com. The price of diesel at Valero & AAFES is reportedly $3.65.
The statewide average for a gallon of regular gas was $2.94, 9 cents higher than last week and the same as a year ago, according to AAA.
The national average gas price is $3.34 per gallon of regular gasoline, 8 cents higher than last week, according to AAA's website. That's down 3 cents from a year ago.
