Raleigh, North Carolina– No. 22 North Carolina State begins ACC play as the team travels to Blacksburg, Virginia, to take on the Virginia Tech Hokies on Friday, March 1 at 2:30 p.m.
The Pack are coming off a strong week of competition after being a triple threat for North Carolina School, Campbell, Elon and North Carolina Central. The Pack won the game in a landslide and congratulated head coach Kyle Spencer on Sunday night. Spencer, along with assistant head coach Chris James, recorded his 100th career win with the Wolfpack last Sunday as the Wolfpack defeated North Carolina Central 4-0.
The Pack enters the ACC game with an overall record of 7-3 and three straight wins. The Pack last faced the Hokies on April 7, 2023 in Raleigh, defeating Virginia Tech 5-2. The Pack are currently on an eight-game winning streak against the Hookies, bringing the overall record between the two programs to 14-11, with Virginia Tech leading by three.
Pack the rankings:
The Pac have maintained a top-25 spot in the ITA rankings all season, but only dropped one week after losing to No. 9 Colombia. The Pack re-entered the charts after registering their best win over a No. 2 ranked opponent on Feb. 2, defeating No. 2 South Carolina 4-3 in Columbia, South Carolina.
This week, the Pack is ranked No. 22 in the ITA team rankings heading into a two-game weekend at Virginia.

Hokies Scouting:
The Hokies enter Friday's game with an overall record of 7-1. The Hokies suffered their only loss on February 9th in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, against Middle Tennessee, a 6-1 loss to Tech. NC State is the first opponent the Hokies have faced so far this season, and also the first ACC game on the team's agenda.
