A free Active Living Fair will be held at the MacBain Community Center, 7150 Montrose Road, on Tuesday, March 5th from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. The Senior Active Living Fair promotes healthy, active lifestyles for seniors age 60 and older.
This event brings together seniors, community organizations, and service providers to share valuable information and resources to support the senior community. McBain's tour will allow participants to learn about her diverse programs and services created specifically for individuals over the age of 60 in our community.
Demonstrations/presentations include:
- free snacks
- free hearing test
- Urban pole walking demonstration
- Care worker association
- Scams and scams (common scams, warning signs and tips)
- big brothers big sisters
- Free parking and more!
Active Living Fair – Ontario Association of Senior Citizens Centers (OACAO) Ministry of Senior Citizens and Accessibility (MSAA).
The Senior Active Living Fair is a public education initiative developed in partnership with the Ontario Association of Senior Citizens Centers (OACAO) Ministry of Senior Citizens and Accessibility (MSAA). The fair is accessible and increases awareness of programs and services available to seniors in the community. These are forums to build community partnerships, share knowledge about healthy aging, and encourage participation in an active lifestyle.
