Introducing DJ Mittens | Pet of the Week
Submitted by Animal Protection Society – Friday Harbor
hey there! I'm new to his APS-FH scene, but I'm not that familiar with the music scene. He is known there by his stage name DJ Mittens. I have been interested in music since I was born and DJing gives me a great opportunity to spread joy through music. In my humble opinion, there are few things better than being forced to dance in a room full of animals and people because of the music you're making and playing. I hope music will always play a big role in my life, but now that I'm temporarily living in APS-FH, my priorities have shifted from touring dates to finding permanent housing. It's coming.
Finding housing is not easy for everyone. This is true whether it is an animal like me or a human being. And while this seems to be true no matter where you live, unfortunately this island is not immune to this struggle. When I was busy touring, I didn't have enough time to understand how difficult it was to stay in one place, but now that I'm looking for a permanent home and a permanent family, I'm not sure what to expect in the future. The challenges are already visible. I'm waiting for you. I decided I wanted more than just a life of traveling, so how long would I have to wait until I found a home and family that was all mine?
If you're interested in meeting me, making space for me in your home and heart, and maybe even making music together, come and find me at APS-FH!
