The Humane Society of Tampa Bay asked for information on the suspect who threw three puppies from a car on Instagram Friday.
“They deserve justice and we want answers. The reward is $10,000,” the post began.
Soon, famous animal lovers came to the rescue. Tampa-based Marvel actor and former professional wrestler Dave Bautista, who will appear in the upcoming film Dune: Part 2, has been added to the Humane Society's reward for information about the person who threw a puppy out of a car in Tampa. offered $5,000. One of the puppies died and the other two were injured.
Late Wednesday night, three 8-week-old pointer/hound mix puppies were thrown from a car onto the side of a dead-end road off Bears Street, according to a post from the Humane Society. All of the puppies survived the impact, but one died after being hit by another car. A neighbor found the puppies and alerted the Humane Society's rescue team. The two surviving puppies suffered broken bones.
Bautista commented on the post:
“Hearing this makes me sick to my stomach. And when it happens in my community, I can't help but take it personally. I hope to contribute an additional $5,000 to this reward.” Masu.”
In 2021, Bautista offered a $5,000 reward for information about the abuser of a puppy he adopted from the Humane Society. Celebrity friends who saw the story more than doubled their rewards.
