CVAS encourages anyone looking to bring a four-legged friend into their home to check out the wonderful animals available for adoption at shelters.
Pets become homeless for a variety of reasons and need a new home and a second chance. If you're looking for a new furry best friend, check out the shelter's many residents. They all make great pets and great companions.
Currently, adoptions are by appointment only, and this is working very well. Donors also provided supplies and funds for homeless animals at the shelter.

Luna
Luna was surrendered to a shelter because her owner was no longer able to care for her. She was a 4-year-old German Shepherd who lived with another dog in her home. However, Luna was fed separately from other dogs (or as the only dog in the house) because her previous owner pointed out that Luna was possessive towards other dogs in her household. need to give.
True to her breed, Luna is slow to trust new people and may be aloof at first, but she is willing to meet people for a treat. She is a smart girl who knows how to sit and sit down. She is very reward motivated and she likes to please people, so she may learn other commands easily. She is a very loyal girl and will be with you wherever you go! It is highly recommended that potential owners have experience with German Shepherds. Luna chases cats, so she would be better off in a house without cats. Will she Luna become your new best friend?
