TOLEDO — Better Health Market & Cafe will have its grand opening Monday in Toledo.
The Michigan-based chain will open its first Ohio location at 3344 Secor Road. The company has 13 locations in Michigan, including his Woods in Southgate, Dearborn, and Grosse Pointe.
The Toledo store currently measures 5,560 square feet, but the company plans to expand to 8,000 square feet.
Better Health Market & Cafe is a health and wellness store with a full kitchen. This market sells vitamins, supplements, beauty and health products, organic produce, gift items, and chocolate. There is also a meat and deli counter, bakery and hot food bar. Some of the products offered include natural, organic, allergy-free, locally sourced, non-GMO, vegan, gluten-free, halal, and kosher products.
The cafe's menu includes sandwiches, chicken wraps, burgers, cold-pressed juices, salads, soups, smoothies, acai bowls, and more. This cafe is famous for its “Organic Better Health Swapper”. Gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options are also available.
Better Health Market & Cafe will have indoor and outdoor seating and will offer free health and wellness seminars.
“Each store is staffed by a nutrition expert who is knowledgeable about the products in the store,” the company said in a news release.
