Ark Valley Humane Society (AVHS) announces its 5th Annual Good Pet/Bad Portrait Fundraiser. AVHS volunteer artists and staff donate their time and skills to create portraits of area pets and raise money for AVHS. Submissions will begin on Monday, February 26th.
“Our volunteer artists range in age and skill level. Participants help homeless animals at AVHS while proudly displaying a comical doodle of their beloved pet on their refrigerator or receive a piece of art. ” said AVHS Executive Director Nikki Ritter.
Those interested in participating can begin submitting photos of their pets starting Monday, February 26th. Photos will be accepted until Sunday, March 10th, while supplies last.
Submissions will be accepted online here. The fee is $25 per portrait. Volunteer artists can mail the portraits directly to donors, or donors can arrange to pick them up at AVHS' headquarters at 701 Gregg Drive in Buena Vista.
