A record label run by students at the University of Arkansas. hill recordsis pleased to announce a new service division that will provide music industry marketing and promotion to artists in and around Arkansas.
Through this division, U of A students can work with musicians across the state to create marketing campaigns, book gigs and tours, work on digital and social media promotion, and work to develop artists at all levels. It will look like this.
Through the new services department, artists will be able to work directly with Hill Records' student team as agents, managers, and producers at various levels.
“This new department will allow our students to more deeply engage with artists from across the Arkansas music ecosystem and further develop the experiential learning component of the Hill Records Project,” said Jake Herzog, faculty advisor. Stated.
Hill Records' mission aligns with that of the University of Arkansas in its commitment to service. As an educational music industry project aimed at furthering the university's land-grant mission, Hill Records aims to elevate jobs for Arkansas musicians and increase access to music business opportunities for creators across the state. “This innovative new development by Hill Records will allow the university to advance its service mission and contribute more deeply to the music industry in Arkansas, while addressing economic development in the arts. We are thrilled to be able to offer our students the opportunity to collaborate with musical talent from around the world,” said Mike Malone, Vice Chancellor for Economic Development.
Students participating in Hill Records have a variety of majors, and participation in the project is open to all students enrolled at U of A.
“Our team is excited about the opportunity to collaborate with a variety of artists and showcase the many talents of our university students while gaining hands-on experience in the music industry,” said Hill Records' current president. Drew Bethel said.
