Naomi Campbell made a surprise appearance and walked the runway at Burberry's Winter 2024 London Fashion Week show.
The British supermodel, 53, who has modeled for luxury British fashion houses throughout her career, wore a charcoal gray strapless maxi dress with sparkling beaded tassel fringe.
She wore her hair in its signature style – straight, very long, and parted down the middle.
Other celebrities from the fields of sports, fashion and entertainment were also in attendance. These include British-Nigerian rapper Skepta, Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, supermodel Jourdan Dunn and long-distance runner Mo Farah.
Jonathan Bailey of Bridgeton, American actress Gabrielle Union and British film star Olivia Colman were also in attendance.
The show took place in London's Victoria Park inside a huge marquee with a distinctive Burberry check design on top, in an emerald green, gold, white and brown color scheme. Both menswear and womenswear were featured.
This is the third time Burberry's creative director, Bradford-born Daniel Lee, has chosen an outdoor space for an event. He previously chose Kennington Park for his first show, then Highbury Fields in north London for his second show.
And his third collection at the helm of the iconic British heritage brand since taking over from predecessor Riccardo Tisci in September 2022 focused primarily on outerwear and winter favorites.
After the lights went down and the music started playing (Amy Winehouse's “Back to Black” was played twice), I first saw another interpretation of the classic Burberry trench coat with buttons on the right side. model has appeared.
There are also military-style tailored coats in shearling, with large feathered collars and billowing zippers.
Other models wore parka coats with Burberry print on the lining, bold fur gilets with a capital B emblem on the side, and Burberry scarves wrapped around their heads.
But the boxy, oversized khaki pinstripe suit almost stole the show. So were split-leg trousers in different variations, flowing maxi skirts with high slits, turtleneck tops with elongated wings on the shoulders, and leopard-print silk blouses.
Of course, accessories were also incorporated into the look, including the Burberry silk scarf that covered part of the models' heads, as well as satchels and duffel bags.
