BUFFALO, N.Y. — This Tuesday's “Most Buffalo Story of the Day” is about National Dog Dog Day. It is celebrated on February 20th every year.
2 On Your Side viewers shared thousands of photos. We went through them Tuesday afternoon and compiled the best Buffalo stories of the day.
If there's one thing we know in Western New York, it's that the fur troops are strong. As of Tuesday afternoon, National Love Your Pet Day had more than 5,000 responses across its social media accounts.
And it's hard to choose just a few dozen of your pets for this story. Because they're all the best. But here it is. It starts with a classic pose of a classy pet like Eclair, complete with the perfect message for “LOVE Your Pet Day.” Jackie sent me a photo of a Riesling in front of spring flowers. Julie said, “This puddle of fur is my cat Choco…a devilishly adorable ball of fur.” Sue's Nicky is 7 years old and Amanda's Bud loves to give “side glances”. Josh sent us a photo of George relaxing by the pool.

Just like humans, pets are also part of the Bills Mafia. Barney and Betty said, “Go Bills!” It looks like Ralph is ready to go tour the new stadium. Marbles has the best seats in the house. Evelyn said buttercups help her laugh. Natalie gets Molly ready to watch the game and PJ gets dressed up. While Mac Mittens was taking a nap, a cat finally joined Bill's Mafia.
But please wake up, Mac and everyone else. Because it's hat-wearing pet time! Frankie celebrates his birthday, and Kevin, Summer, and Winter also celebrate his birthday. Their human said today was Kevin's first birthday. The horns are also considered hats, right? I also wore the Alleghany Enzo. But is a remote control considered a hat? Susan's dog has some questions about that.
While the majority of our pets are dogs and cats, let's not forget about the members of the fur brigade who don't necessarily have fur. Spoiled Apollo has a little pancake in her hat and a personalized blanket. Axel enjoys hanging out. Capu (short for Cappuccino) is a mini Rex rabbit who poses for the camera. Teri also shared a photo of Dimitri, Dolores, and their brother Harry outside. Griswald uses seashells to represent his pets. Aiden's Russian tortoise.
Finally, many of our pets become best friends not only with us, but with each other, like our littermates Jenna and Zoe. And Fernando and Lincoln definitely fit the criteria of best friends who aren't littermates. Onyx and Opal sat together for a photo shoot. Mackenzie and Sampson like watching TV. Kristen shared a photo of a truffle and another eclair nestled together. And Ember, Skye, and Bella are all packed up and ready to leave.
At Most Buffalo, we love all of your pets, so keep sharing your photos with us. Be sure to use #BeOn2.
