LUBBOCK, Texas — For the second time in three years, Texas Tech University has been recognized as a top producer of Fulbright Scholars.
President Dr. Ron Hendrick told EverythingLubbock.com that Texas Tech University has many programs offered, one of which is the Fulbright Scholars program. Dr. Hendrick said it's great to be recognized.
Dr. Hendrick said: “We don't just bring to this campus a vibrant community of scholars and students from around the world. , we are taking it across the disciplines of engineering and deploying it around the world, expanding our global impact.”
Regan Ribaudy, assistant to the governor for international affairs, said she is also a scholar of the program and was able to travel to France for the program.
The Fulbright Scholars Program is for professors, researchers, and students who travel to different countries for a period of time and then return home to share their experiences and learnings.
“In my case, in France, I visited different educational systems to learn about partnership opportunities for research, teaching, faculty exchange, and student exchange,” Ribordi said. I accompanied a group of different university administrators to about six different French institutions.”

President Dr. Hendrick said he hopes the Red Raiders will continue to travel abroad as part of Texas Tech's Experiential and Cultural Program.
