CHELSEA, Manhattan (PIX11) — Police are searching for a woman who was caught on camera kicking a puppy kennel and slapping another woman in the face at City Pups in Chelsea.
It happened at the 8th Avenue store on Saturday around 3:45 p.m. Store manager Emilio Ortiz told PIX11 News that the suspect punched a customer and then spat at him.
Ortiz recorded the incident on his cell phone and said the woman arrived alone.
“All of a sudden, she kicked the first kennel and I yelled at her to stop, and then she kicked it a second time, then a third time, even harder,” Ortiz said.
“We want to arrest her. It's just that the woman she hit ended up bleeding and she was really distraught and didn't mean to hurt more people.” “I hit him pretty hard,” he said.
According to police, the victim who was hit filed a police report. Detectives investigating the assault were at the City Pups store Monday afternoon.
There was no property damage to the kennel, and the puppies inside were not injured.
