A typical afternoon at a New York City pet store took an unexpected turn when a woman allegedly began kicking several dog kennels inside the store. But the explosions didn't stop there.
The entire ordeal lasted only a few seconds, most of it was caught on camera, and ended with a brutal assault on another person who was browsing the store.
Police said the woman first began kicking a dog kennel full of puppies, and when the store manager urged her to leave, the woman directed her anger elsewhere and slapped her before leaving the store. .
The video begins with a Citips employee telling a woman to leave the Chelsea store, but then she hits her phone when she realizes someone is recording her.
The woman moved toward the exit, but paused to slap a female tourist from Texas in the face. Her head flies back, clearly hurt from the assault, but her attack isn't over yet.
In the video, the woman can be seen reaching into the door, then turning around and spitting in the direction of the woman who had slapped her earlier.
After swerving, she approached a tourist from Texas who was standing in a store and slapped him in the face.
“It's really weird,” said store manager Emilio Ortiz.
Ortiz was the one who witnessed the strange encounter and captured the whole thing on camera.
“She punched the woman in the face and left. She had nothing to do with it. It was the woman's first time coming to New York. On the first day, she was visiting New York and randomly It was for people to assault me,” Ortiz explained.
Ortiz said the pet store was packed Saturday and it was a normal day until the cameras started rolling. People were wandering around looking at the dogs.
Suddenly, the wanted woman started kicking the doghouse. The dogs were surprised but unharmed.
Meanwhile, the tourist was seriously injured. The slap caused her nose to bleed and her face to swell.
Police are searching for the woman and say she may be charged with assault.
