Hamilton admitted he was “emotional” at the launch of his 12th and final Mercedes car last week, as he prepares for his final season with the Silver Arrows and then pursues his childhood dream. He is preparing to transfer to Ferrari, which will help him achieve his goals.
When asked about his opinion on Hamilton's move to the Scuderia next season, Perez told media such as PlanetF1.com:
“You know, when you have a driver who runs a team, we all know how jealous the teams are about sharing information, because Lewis has been there for a long time.” [at Mercedes] And he's going to bring a lot of knowledge to the other team, so it's going to be an interesting dynamic from the outside looking in. ”

The announcement of Hamilton's transfer means that F1's annual 'foolish season' of driver transfers has started earlier than usual, with the majority of the grid having completed their contracts, and the season will end if this continues.
Perez is one of those drivers, hoping to make a good impression and keep his Red Bull seat until 2025.
When asked about the impact of Hamilton's move and how it could affect the driver market, he was relatively relaxed about his own outlook.
“I'm sure most drivers would like to get things done earlier in the year,” Perez said.
“But that's just your approach. For me, I'm just focused on having a great year. As long as you have it. [that]I don't really care as long as I'm playing on the track, the rest will always fall into place.
“This is my 14th season in F1, so the main goal for me is to keep it on track.
“When I've been in this business long enough, I don't care as much because I know how this business works.
“I just want to have fun first and make sure I have enough fun to stay motivated, and then the rest will take care of itself.”
