In a horrifying incident, a man was arrested in West Bengal for walking around with his wife's severed head. According to reports, the incident occurred on February 14th.
Police told India Today that a 40-year-old man, Goutam Guchait, was arrested after beheading his wife and then walking around with her. The incident took place in East Midnapore. Local residents recorded horrifying scenes of Guchait walking around holding his wife's bloody head. They alerted the police who rushed to the scene and arrested him.
Police told NDTV that he beheaded his wife over a family-related issue. Authorities found the body of his wife, Furlani Guchait, and sent it for an autopsy. Guchait's parents claimed he was mentally unstable.
A few years ago, Guchait jumped into a lion enclosure and sustained injuries, the Times of India (TOI) reported. He scaled the boundary wall of Kolkata's Alipore Zoo and even climbed over the protective fence to get close to the big cat.
In another similar gruesome incident, a man was arrested in Uttar Pradesh after he was found walking around with his wife's severed head, NDTV reported. The man, identified as Anil, was separated from his wife, whom he married eight years ago. Police said the man was suspected of having an affair with his wife and killed her.
