FLINT – Davison maintained its top spot in the latest Flint Area Boys Basketball Power Rankings despite losing to Saginaw Heritage this week.
The Cardinals maintained their lead with a 77-66 win over No. 2 Powers Catholic on Jan. 30.
But that could change depending on how Powers does in his next two games against Carman-Ainsworth and Heritage, as well as Davison's Feb. 23 matchup against Saginaw Arthur Hill.
First, let's take a look at the teams on the rise.

The Chargers defeated Bay City Western 78-58 and Midland Dow 84-61 for their fourth consecutive win. A showdown with Saginaw Heritage, which shares first place with Saginaw in the Saginaw Valley League, is coming up on February 22nd.

The Martians won their only game since the last power ranking, defeating Ortonville-Brandon 61-29 and extending their winning streak to five games heading into Friday's showdown with Lake Fenton.

The Blue Devils defeated Owosso 64-32 for their eighth straight win. They will clinch the Metro League Stars Division championship with a win Friday against Goodrich.

The Soldiers defeated Plymouth Christian 52-44 and Ortonville Brandon 60-32 for their 10th straight win. That streak includes a forfeit win over Beecher, who was stripped of nine wins for using an ineligible player.
Durand
The Railroaders defeated Mount Morris 76-67 and Webberville 69-43 for their seventh straight win. They will face Ovid Elsie on Friday in the 10-1 Mid-Michigan Activities Conference.
