RG Live is a wholly owned division of Sony Music Masterworks and is widely recognized as being at the forefront of entertainment in the UK and around the world. Our marketing team works across all shows and concerts in our portfolio in the UK and overseas and plays a key role in supporting our wide variety of activities. In addition to our many concerts, tours, festivals and one-off events, our highly popular light trail has grown significantly in recent years and we are considered the market leader in this field.
The Marketing Manager creates and develops high-impact, scalable, and effective marketing campaigns that reach the right demographics and target the right customers for each show. Manage multiple budgets and agencies and develop graphic content and copy used to inform the public about shows for the purpose of selling tickets. This position will also be responsible for maintaining, tracking, and reporting on analysis and spending to ensure funds are correctly allocated to all areas of the marketing budget.
We are an innovative, collaborative and creative team of seven people who are responsible for achieving demanding revenue targets in everything we do and reaching as many global audiences as possible on-site and online.
What are you doing
- Responsible for developing and executing marketing and promotion plans.
- Work with internal teams, stakeholders, agents, and broader marketing support teams (internal and external) to plan and oversee marketing spend.
- Create and adhere to a marketing budget.
- Keep track of all advertising and media to ensure funds are allocated correctly.
- Prepare advertising payments for each program.
- Work with our internal social media team to create content for each show and manage accounts as needed.
- Develop advertising copy. Implement advertising schedules that appeal to specific demographics or target customers.
- Monitor ticket sales, evaluate show performance by market, and adjust your marketing strategy to changing market and competitive conditions.
- Oversee publicity, conduct advance press interviews, secure and coordinate artists available to participate in promotions, and collaborate with public relations agencies.
- Plan promotions and pitch to the media. Negotiate rates and contracts with various media outlets.
- Develop additional marketing opportunities as needed and participate in genre-driven seasonal content capture days and on-site asset collections to increase ticket sales.
- Stay on top of current marketing and social media trends and brainstorm new ideas and concepts for assets and promotions to market events.
- Work with the marketing team to market the show and strategize new ways to reach the right audience.
- Create graphics for e-cards, banners, posters, social media posts, radio station needs, and emails
- Reports directly to the Head of Marketing and may be responsible for supervising interns and assistants in addition to other essential departmental duties.
Who are you:
- BA/Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Business Communication, PR preferred
- 5-6 years related work experience
- Media buying experience
- Excellent communication and organizational skills. Pass quickly and demonstrate creative, flexible and multi-tasking oriented work.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Knowledge of social media and online marketing efforts and strategies.
- Familiar with Creative Suite and MS Office
- Preference will be given to those with knowledge of the live entertainment industry
