Jonathan Scott is mourning the loss of his beloved dog Gracie, who he shared with the family for more than a decade and a half.
of property brothers The 45-year-old star announced her Chihuahua's death in a heartfelt Instagram post on Tuesday.
Scott shared a collection of photos documenting Gracie's life, from when she was a puppy to their last moments together.
“My heart is broken,” he wrote in the caption. “My beloved Gracie passed away last night. 17 wonderful years you gave me. You will always be in my heart.”
In the comments section of the post, Scott's loved ones expressed their condolences, including his fiancée Zooey Deschanel, who knows Chihuahuas well.
“Our sweet Gracie was the most amazing pup,” Deschanel wrote. “I'm very sad to say goodbye.”

Words of support also came from Ree Drummond, Taraji P. Henson and Julianne Hough.
“Oh, I'm so sorry!! It's been so long since I've had a friend like this by my side. Sending you so much love!!” Drummond commented, while Henson wrote, “Friend, I'm so sorry for your loss. God bless you and your family 💔.”
Huff added, “Because it envelops you; [sic] Much love – there are no words to describe this pain. I feel for you and am here for you. ”
Also, property brothers The cast included Nate Berkus, Bobby Berk, Howie Mandel, and Katharine McPhee Foster, who wrote, “Oh, there's nothing like losing a Chi-Chi love.”
As seen in Tuesday's post, Scott likes to dress Gracie in adorable costumes, including chef hats and reindeer costumes, and frequently features her on his social media accounts.
Recently, the smiley dog made a cameo appearance in a cute Instagram video.
In the video, shared last November, Scott joked that the chrysalises in little cowboy hats couldn't shine the light straight at him while he worked.
“Gracie is still more helpful than @mrdrewscott,” Jonathan joked about co-star and twin Drew Scott in the caption.

The Chihuahua's death came more than a year after Jonathan said goodbye to another pet, his dog Stewie, who had also been by his side for more than 10 years.
The star shared the news of Stewie's passing in November 2022 on Instagram with a carousel of photos of her beloved pet.
Jonathan captioned the post: “Today we said goodbye to sweet Stewie.” “He brought joy to my life for over 13 years, and it will remain in all our fond memories.”
