Olin Farms, in collaboration with Boulder Mushrooms, Wilderness Restoration Volunteers, People's Pollinator Action Network, and some special youth leaders, hosted a presentation titled “Soil and Community Health.” did.
The event will be held on February 20 at 6 p.m. at Left Hand Grange, 195 2nd Ave. in Niwot.
Presenters will provide updates on current efforts being made in Boulder County to improve soil health while increasing access to locally grown, nutritious foods.
“Local ecosystems face many obstacles, from changing weather patterns to economic challenges for land managers to the widespread use of herbicides in open spaces. “The adoption of innovative approaches to managing nutrients, water and biological systems on land in space is also on the rise,” the presenters said in a prepared statement.
The event also provides an educational opportunity for community members from local businesses and organizations that promote ecosystem health.
“Together, we can reconnect with the natural world through ecosystem restoration, seasonal diets, and community connections,” the news release states.
