Frankenmuth appeared in the Division II championship game last season and is gaining momentum for the playoffs with a 12-game winning streak heading into Friday's game against Alma. If Frankenmuth wins on Friday, the Eagles will clinch the Tri-Valley Conference title outright. Frankenmuth is coming off his 20-point blowout win over Division 3 state champion Hemlock.

Back-to-back wins over Saginaw United and Flint Carman-Ainsworth extend Midland Dow's winning streak to 12 games, and the Chargers remain atop the Saginaw Valley League ahead of showdowns against Flint Powers and Grand Blanc. Maintained.

The St. Charles Express has made it through the Mid-State Activities Conference and is gaining momentum heading into the playoffs. The Bulldogs, led by sisters Emily and Alison Zelinko, have won 16 straight games since losing to Hemlock in the season opener. On Friday, St. Charles faced No. 2 Mount Pleasant Sacred Heart, and the Bulldogs won the MSAC title.

St. Louis has won nine of its last 10 games and won its final four after the Sharks lost 40-34 to Valley Lutheran. St. Louis bounced back from the loss, defeating Michigan Lutheran Seminary, Chippewa Hills, Bullock Creek and Lakeview. A rematch with Valley Lutheran awaits on Friday.
Valley Lutheran Church
Since a disappointing loss to Ithaca in the Tri-Valley Conference, Valley Lutheran has improved, reaching the 10-win mark with wins over Laker High, Nouvelle, Beaverton and Standish Sterling. It's a notable accomplishment for the Chargers, who started the season 0-3 under first-year coach Kelsey Clark. But the next two games against St. Louis and Hemlock will make that road even tougher.
