Kari has been named the KRDO Pet of the Week by the Pikes Peak Regional Humane Society! She is a 5-year-old brown German Shepherd/pit bull mix who has been in the care of her since her owner was assigned to the military. He was handed over and came. Cali is looking for her loving home in time for Valentine's Day.
- In this big, noisy world, Cali prefers quiet places. Loud noises can be overwhelming for her, so she would rather sit in a quiet place and observe.
- Kari is a little shy at first. It will take some time for her to trust you, but once she does, you will have a loyal friend.
- She may not be the first to greet you, but give Cali a chance. Then she will show you her kind and gentle personality.
- Kari does her best in the homes of patients who help her come out of her shell.
- She is very good at walking on a leash and loves going for walks outside to bond with HSPPR staff and volunteers.
- Kali will respond to her name and will come to you when called for your attention.
