It's Valentine's Day! At a time when lovers are posting couple selfies faster than you can say “wow,” restaurants are raising prices on things like rent and roses are more expensive than therapy.
If you have a date or someone to celebrate the day with, this day might be the best. But for singles, it can be like watching a romantic comedy in your pajamas, surrounded by tissues, and eating ice cream.
But some generation z Don't think so. There are people in this world who like to fall in love with fictional characters. Instead of mourning, they create fan art or write fan fiction. They may be living in a fantasy, but they own it, express themselves, and enjoy it.
We spoke to some people and asked them which fictional character they would swipe right on Valentine's Day. And the answers will be so relatable that you'll feel understood.

I would swipe right on Damon Salvatore (The Vampire Diaries). You'll be captivated by his bad boy look in his black leather jacket and his protective personality!
Aparna Singh, 24, Campaign Manager
Atlas Corrigan in “It Ends with Us.” He is the greenest green flag ever, soft, delicate, and as human as possible.
Anish Jande, 25, Associate Editor
Probably Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter. She has the best perspective on Harry Potter. I think she literally sees the world differently. She's animal friendly so that's a plus.
Sonali Nahal, 24, Senior Associate at Amazon India
Captain Hong from “Hometown Cha Cha Cha”. His kindness, sincerity, sense of humor, and cute dimples while he works won me over in just a few episodes. Another positive factor about Director Hong is that he is not only good, but also knows everything and can do almost any kind of job.
Aditya Banik, 24, receptionist
Claire from Modern Family. I like her character and the way she handles her home and herself together. There's also plenty of humor. I also want to swipe Maeve from “Sex Education” and “Elaine” from “Seinfeld”!

Hermione Granger. She's smart, beautiful, and awesome.
Meda Khalsa, 22 years old, Reputation Analyst
I have to go back to my roots, my childhood, and my first love, Draco Malfoy. I also read fan fiction. And some of them were so well written that I fell in love.
