Exira — A man was injured in a structure fire north-east of Exira on Sunday February 11th and was rushed to a burn center with his life in danger.
According to information from Audubon County EMA Tyler Thygesen, around 2 p.m. Sunday, the Audubon County 911 emergency dispatch center received a call about a structure fire with two helicopters inside the building. The fire occurred at 2845 Pheasant Avenue and a male victim was reported to have suffered burns.
Exira Fire and Rescue and Brayton Fire and Rescue began directing two helicopters to the building, which was said to contain fuel, but Audubon Fire and Rescue was called in to help around 2:02 p.m. Ta.
The Exira Fire and Rescue Facebook page advised local residents to be aware of higher than normal traffic through Exira, as water is needed to fight the fire and tankers are being refueled at the hydrant south of Exira. did.

The male victim, whose name has not been released, was taken to Audubon Airport and then taken to a burn center by Life Flight.
