The digital health technology and data company announced last week (February 6) that the platform will link digital health panels to other real-world data (RWD) sources and provide objective digital health research. We have announced that we can take this further.
Verisense Health's panel collects participants' raw wearable sensor data over time, as well as patient-reported outcome data. By connecting with other RWD sources within the Datavant ecosystem, researchers can generate comprehensive views and insights into patients, leading to better decision-making and health outcomes. Datavant's connected platform leverages tokenization technology to enable matching of anonymized patient records within and across datasets while protecting patient privacy.
“Datavant is an ideal partner to help expand the reach of RWD included in digital health panels. Datavant provides linkable insurance claims, electronic health records, test results, social determinants, genomics, imaging, We have the largest RWD ecosystem of over 500 data partners with mortality, and registration data.
Geoff Gill, CEO of Verisense Health, said: “The company's connectivity platform allows him to discover, evaluate, and connect his digital health panel to other his RWDs in a secure and HIPAA-compliant manner.”
“Last month, with the introduction of research-grade Verisense smart watches, Verisense Health can now collect high-quality digital health data starting at less than $100 per participant. “We will be able to cost-effectively combine raw digital health data with critical outcome data to powerfully advance clinical research.”
Datavant says its mission is to make the world's health data secure, accessible, and usable. The company says its products and solutions enable organizations to securely move and connect data.
“Linking digital health data with other RWD sources is critical to uncovering a complete picture of patient health,” said President and General Manager of Life Sciences, Ecosystems and Public Sector at Datavant. said one Tal Rosenberg.
“We are pleased to be the connectivity partner of choice for Vericense’s digital biobank that advances the understanding of health and disease.”
According to Datavant, this enables more than 60 million medical records across thousands of organizations, more than 70,000 hospitals and clinics, 70% of the 100 largest health systems, and more than 500 real-world data partners. It allows for movement between ecosystems.
Verisense Health was founded in January 2023 as a spinoff from Shimmer Research, a global wearable technology provider. Using the Verisense data collection platform and digital health panel, the company is creating a digital biobank that researchers can use to conduct digital health research without collecting new patient data.
