10th annual event seeking expert presentations on water pricing, affordability programs, BIL funding, regulatory issues, and more
The deadline for abstract submissions for the 2024 Water Finance Conference is this Friday, February 16th. Organizers are seeking speakers for the 10th annual event, to be held August 6-7 at the Water Tower Global Innovation Hub in Buford, Georgia. . Please see below for details.
The Water Finance Conference brings together executive-level utility professionals such as directors, CEOs, general managers, utility CFOs, and city finance managers, as well as consultants, financial advisors, legal professionals, and service providers involved in municipal financing. This is a two-day educational seminar to be convened. Water, sewer, and stormwater systems.
We are looking for case studies or thought leadership presentations covering, but not limited to, the following topics related to water, wastewater, and stormwater project financing:
- Consideration of fees and pricing
- Affordability for Low Income/Customer Affordability Program
- IIJA/Bipartisan Infrastructure Act Fund Implementation
- Utilizing the State Revolving Loan Fund for Clean Water/Drinking Water
- Apply federal funds locally
- Budgeting/short or long term financial planning
- Regulatory issues affecting water projects – LCRR/LCRI, PFAS, etc.
- Forecast rate, revenue
- Technology/Software for financial management
- governance issues
- Private finance option/P3/privatization
- cash reserves
- Other federal funding mechanisms – such as WIFIA
- Cost reduction through asset management
- Integrated regional water planning/integration

The Water Finance Conference Program Committee will prioritize presentation proposals from representatives of public (or investor-owned) water and wastewater systems. If you are a consultant, product or service provider, presentation proposals that include power company representatives as co-presenters are encouraged.
Water finance conferences have grown in popularity since their inception. This is the only conference in the U.S. water utility sector that focuses exclusively on financing. The event has been hosted annually by the magazine since 2015. Water finance and managementpublished by Benjamin Media, Inc. in partnership with the National Association of Water Cleaning Agencies (NACWA).
